Vocalist Sarah Clarke (Outer Orbit, The Motet, Portugal the Man) and keyboardist Galen Clark (Outer Orbit, Anna Tivel, Sleater-Kinney) have been bringing their characteristic blend of Soul, Folk and Jazz to northwest audiences since 2018. As bandmates in the Portland-based soul-funk collective, Outer Orbit, Sarah and Galen are well-versed in the musical grammar of improvisational funk. But it is their shared love of singer-songwriters such as Emily King and Yebba that inspires their duo project.
